Love it or hate it, colour mixing is an important part of a child's early learning and discovery - why not provide them some resources especially for this purpose?
Use this playdough set to discuss the meaning of primary and secondary colours. Predict and test what happens when you mix certain colours together. Talk about different methods of mixing and combining colours. "Swirl" the colours together using the wooden paintbrush or the hand carved stamp. Match the colours to the felt balls. Name the colours and have lots of fun squishing and rolling them together to make new and exciting shades!
